Posted as a support request using T-Mobile's "contact us" web form, on 2008-11-23. I have my own handheld device (not a Sidekick) that I'm currently using on AT&T with a "pay as you go" plan, for which they offer data service. I'm thinking about switching to T-Mobile's Sidekick pay-as-you-go plan ($1.00/day used + $0.15/min voice + "unlimited" data). Most of my usage is with the enterprise server at work (mail, company web, secure shell, VPN, etc., normally by WiFi but on AT&T in emergencies.) Does the Sidekick plan include generic data access of this kind, or is it limited to T-Mobile's walled garden, e.g. T-Mobile WAP, T-Mobile mail server... Also, in one day I could abusively download 8 DVDs which I'm sure you would put a stop to promptly. What is the actual limit on the "unlimited" data access per day? This will allow you to connect to the Danger server which provides data for these devices. It is not meant for other data devices and may not work with your handset. I did not find any limits on data noted for this service but generally you may be limited to 10GB. T-Mobile does not cut off data but you may be throttled back to a slower speed for data.
