I am running Linux (OpenSuSE Leap
42.1 augmented with kernel 4.4.0)
on my Acer Aspire E5-573G. I use it in the desktop replacement role: software
development, system administration, document preparation, and web page design.
This is an excellent machine for that role, and this product family is
currently the value leader. However, there are some rocks in the road,
particularly for the Linux user, which you need to take into account:
Vivid Vervetis said to have a backported Wi-fi driver.
Basicmode and it will work including acceleration and scroll gestures.
